Local Area
Wolvey dates to Saxon and Norman times and there are still older buildings in the village including the chapel. Our new houses at Kingmakers View are just across the picturesque river Anker from the heart of the village. On the doorstep are fields of open Green Belt land stretching for miles around. The area is perfect for a brisk walk or a more leisurely stroll or even a leafy bike ride along the banks of the river Anker.
Wolvey has a superb small village shop that stocks everyday essentials and there is a handy post office also in the village. Within six miles you will find a good selection of supermarkets to your every need.
Leisure
Located nearby to our new builds is The Blue Pig at Wolvey. This is a wonderful 600-year-old, Grade 2-listed pub with cosy open fires and a popular menu. The pub prides itself on serving local produce and a wide variety of superb ales from local breweries.
For a great day out shopping or a get-together with friends you are spoilt for choice with Nuneaton, Coventry and Leicester all being within easy reach and all offering something different.
Education and transport
Wolvey C of E Primary School can be found under a mile away from our new Kingmakers View housing development. Ofsted’s latest inspection paints a picture of a bright future for the school.
For secondary-age children there are three local schools to choose from, all rated good by Ofsted and all under five miles from the development.
Situated between Coventry and Leicester means our new Kingmakers View homes are perfectly located to get about easily and efficiently. You can get to the M69 motorway, which links those two cities, in under five minutes by car with onward links to the M1 and M40.
Central Coventry and Leicester are both under half an hour's drive away, and the train station in Nuneaton is under 15 minutes away. From there, trains get you to central London in an hour or so. For international travel, Birmingham Airport is under half an hour's drive.
