Family of four upsize to a brand-new home at Wolsey Park, marking the final completion of phase one at the development

Last year, Police Officer, Allan Pitcher (44), his wife Kat (43), a dental hygienist, and their two children decided they needed more space than their current two-bedroom flat provided. Already living in Southend, Essex, they embarked on a search for their dream three-bedroom home, which offered them enough space for their growing family. Looking at nearby developments, they stumbled across Wolsey Park, Countryside’s parkland development in Rayleigh.

Having discovered Wolsey Park, Allan immediately booked in to visit the site which they fell in love with straightaway.

Allan says: “We spotted Wolsey Park on Rightmove and were immediately drawn to its community feel and booked a viewing as soon as we could. From the first instance we were blown away by how much bigger the houses were compared to the development we were living in at the time – it was a no brainer really; we knew this was the right place to raise our family.”

Allan and Kat purchased a three-bedroom house ‘The Laurel’ and are now happily settled into their new home.

Allan says “Our new house is incredibly spacious, and we love the open-plan living which provides the perfect place for entertaining and enjoying family time.”

“It was important for us to have three bedrooms to allow everyone to have their own room. The garden is also fantastic as it provides space for our kids to play, but also allows us to enjoy outdoor entertaining, especially this summer.”

Allan adds, “The home is finished to such a high standard, we love the modern finishes of a new-build property. Also, another huge selling point is the energy efficient features which are included as standard which is essential in the current economic climate.”

Set amongst green open spaces and parkland, Wolsey Park also benefits from a children’s playground on site and as well as the X30 bus route which travels through the development.

Allan says, “One of the biggest selling points for us was the onsite playground which is great for our four-year-old daughter - she absolutely loves it! The bus service is also a major help and means our elder daughter can easily commute to and from school, which allows her to be independent.”

He adds, “We have also been pleasantly surprised by the amount of greenspace within the development as well as benefitting from the surrounding countryside, which is great for walking and exploring. It really is a lovely place to live, and we are really looking forward to becoming part of the community here.”

When asked about his customer experience, Allan had nothing but praise for the Countryside team.

Allan says, “The sales team at Countryside have been fantastic and constantly kept us up to date on the progress of our sale. We would absolutely recommend Countryside to our friends and family.”

Wolsey Park is a new parkland community offering 500 two to five-bedroom homes set amongst 50 acres of natural beauty. Wolsey Park, with its emphasis on balance and quality of life, has a number of large, open green spaces with waterside lawns, children’s play areas, cycleways and walking routes for residents to enjoy – all of which connect the home to the great outdoors. With great transport connections and local amenities, homes at Wolsey Park are unrivalled.
