How to make a Countryside garden party POP!

Despite the unpredictable British weather, it’s clear us Brits cherish our outdoor spaces and there’s no better place to spend the August bank holiday than in the garden with friends and family.

Last month, our gardening pro, Steve Sherratt, shared his show home garden tips and told us what foundations we need to create that all-important visual impact. This month, we’re taking the next step and have put together top tips to impress your loved ones in a Countryside garden over the long weekend.

  1. Doors open wide: Our homebuyers tell us one of their favourite Countryside features is the way our homes link to the garden through stylish French doors. You can make the most of this chic link between the indoor and outdoor space by throwing the doors open wide and using candles or bunting to create an attractive pathway between the two.
  2. Bring indoors outdoors: You don’t need to splash out on specialist garden furnishings in a Countryside home, simply use the link between our spacious open plan kitchens that lead out into the garden to bring your interior comforts into the outdoor space. Big cushions and chunky blankets will create a stylish backdrop and will provide warmth when your party goes on into the night.
  3. Go bright and light: If you want to bring your garden to life at night, lights are essential. Many of our homeowners use the enclosed fenced and garden gate we offer with all our homes to drape string lights or dot lanterns around the border, which is the perfect way to ensure you can carry the day on into the night.
  4. Nothing beats a kitchen disco: When it’s finally time to call it time in the garden and your guests make their way indoors, make sure your kitchen is ready to take over the party. Our open plan kitchens are perfect for dancing and come with separate storage cupboards or utility rooms, which means you can keep the clutter out of the way when you have visitors and there’s more room to party!

All Countryside homes are designed with outdoor living also in mind so if you’re not entertaining this bank holiday, why not visit one of our homes across Greater Manchester and check out our incredible summer deals.
