Autumn could be the best time to buy in Greater Manchester

When September comes, it’s time to return to the reality of the day-to-day. And that means it’s the perfect opportunity to make some big decisions. With a renewed sense of optimism in the housing market and mortgage rates falling, we’ve unveiled a major new incentive for our buyers in the North West.

Our offer is available on all developments across the Greater Manchester region - from Millbank Lock in Partington and The Fairways at Brackley Village in Salford, to Hartshead View in Oldham, Calico Grove in Rochdale and Radclyffe Green in Chadderton.


Making mortgages more affordable

But that’s not all…mortgage lenders are also making some interesting moves and it’s well worth a look. 

Since the Bank of England interest rate cut, we’ve seen more enticing and inclusive offers coming from the big high street names. Some of the biggest barriers for those with lower deposits are even being removed. 

Skipton, for example, has made a series of enhancements to its Track Record Mortgage, which offers a 100% mortgage (LTV - loan-to-value), specifically aimed at renters who can demonstrate a track record of affordability. 

The lender is also increasing its maximum mortgage term to 40 years and is potentially able to lend customers up to 120% of the rent they’re currently paying. In some circumstances they’ll also accept applicants with no rental experience at all.
